Saturday, August 4, 2007 was a tremendous day for Hannah & Friends as we broke ground on the 30 acres of land for the Hannah & Friends Farm.  God could not have granted us a more beautiful day for this momentous occasion.  While this day came 8 years ahead of schedule, it is attributed to not only to our collective efforts, but the considerable and growing need for the residential community.  Those in attendance saw a rare and truly incredible event as Hannah was able to stand with her family, amidst many onlookers, and assertively drive her shovel in the dirt.  Hannah symbolically represented all individuals with special needs who continue to surprise us and exceed our expectations.  Even family members Charlie, Maura, and Charlie Jr. were amazed and took a step back as Hannah played to the cheers.  Many got to see that Hannah rarely disappoints when its “showtime.”  The atmosphere was perfect, but it was Hannah that affirmed the importance of our mission.
